Resilience

Resilience building is central to CIRSI’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development in Somalia. Given the nation’s exposure to recurrent conflict, environmental disasters, and economic volatility, our work is dedicated to strengthening the capacities of communities, institutions, and systems to effectively adapt, recover, and transform in the face of adversity.

Our research and targeted interventions address critical areas such as disaster risk reduction, the promotion of social cohesion, the diversification of livelihoods to enhance economic security, and the strengthening of key institutions. By prioritizing resilience, CIRSI aims to secure long-term gains and empower Somali communities to navigate future uncertainties with confidence and enhanced capacity.
